How H.E.A.L Space Is Bridging Clinical Therapy, Yoga & Embodied Healing
There is power in refusing to fit neatly into one box.
For the founder of H.E.A.L Space, being “Built Different” means exactly that: refusing to choose between the different parts of who she is. Therapist or yoga teacher. Clinician or entrepreneur. Mother, wife, employee, or business owner. Instead of choosing one identity over another, she has built a practice rooted in the belief that healing is multidimensional and that the body and mind deserve to be cared for together.
That philosophy is at the heart of H.E.A.L Space, a practice that brings clinical psychotherapy together with embodied practices such as yin yoga, mindfulness, and breathwork.
“I could have stayed in one box clinician or yoga teacher, therapist or business owner but I built H.E.A.L Space on the belief that healing doesn’t happen in a box,” she says. “It happens in the body and the mind at the same time.”
That willingness to create something that didn’t already exist has shaped her entire journey.
When she couldn’t find a model that combined clinical psychotherapy with embodied practices, she didn’t wait for someone else to create it. She built it herself. Her credentials reflect that same philosophy: LCSW, Certified Clinical Supervisor, and 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher.
For her, having multiple tools isn’t about collecting titles. It’s about being able to meet people where they actually are.
And perhaps most importantly, she practices what she teaches.
She makes space for breathwork. She sits with stillness. She continues doing her own healing work. The practices she offers aren’t simply concepts learned in a classroom or techniques delivered from a distance. They are part of her own life.
“Nothing I offer clients is theoretical. It’s lived.”
That distinction is part of what makes H.E.A.L Space feel authentic. The practice wasn’t created from the idea that healing happens once and then life becomes easy. It was created from the understanding that healing is something we continue choosing even while we’re navigating careers, families, responsibilities, uncertainty, and change.
THE JUGGLE IS PART OF THE JOURNEY
Building a business is challenging on its own. Building one while simultaneously being a mother, wife, business owner, and employee of a community health program requires another level of discipline.
H.E.A.L Space wasn’t built during a season when life was perfectly quiet. It was built alongside everything else.
Early mornings. In-between hours. Whatever pockets of time she could create.
“Building H.E.A.L Space didn’t happen instead of those roles; it happened alongside them,” she explains.
That experience taught her one of the most important lessons she carries into her leadership today: consistency matters more than perfection.
There was never going to be a magical point when she suddenly had unlimited time to build her brand. Instead, she had to learn how to create space for her family, her community health work, her clients, and her own vision simultaneously.
That reality also influences the way she works with clients.
She isn’t asking people to become perfectly balanced before they begin taking care of themselves. She understands what it means to carry multiple responsibilities and still try to remain grounded.
When she teaches yin yoga or works with someone navigating anxiety, she’s not speaking from a place of having figured everything out. She’s speaking from experience.
She’s still living the juggle.
And that’s precisely what makes the work real.
HEALING WITHOUT A BARRIER
Now, she’s taking that philosophy into a new chapter with an online yoga studio.
The digital space is a natural extension of H.E.A.L Space’s mission: making embodied healing more accessible to people regardless of where they live or how busy their schedules may be.
For the woman who can’t make an evening class because she’s putting her children to bed, there’s an opportunity to roll out a mat in the living room.
For the professional with only a lunch break to herself, there’s a chance to pause, breathe, and reconnect.
And for anyone who has ever thought yoga wasn’t “for them,” the goal is to challenge that assumption.
Healing doesn’t require a particular body type, a certain level of flexibility, or hours of free time.
It can begin exactly where you are.
“I want the online studio to prove that healing through movement can meet people exactly where they are, on their schedule, in their own space.”
Eventually, she envisions bringing that same energy into a physical studio of her own a place where people can gather in person for grounding, movement, and connection while continuing to have access to H.E.A.L Space online.
Her larger vision extends beyond creating another wellness space. She’s challenging the idea that clinical therapeutic work and practices like yoga have to exist in separate lanes.
They can coexist.
They can complement one another.
And for the people seeking a more holistic approach to their well-being, perhaps they should.
GOLDEN, INSIDE AND OUT
If the soundtrack to her journey had to be one song, it would be Jill Scott’s “Golden.”
The choice makes sense.
The song represents living fully and unapologetically, creating your own joy, and refusing to allow outside expectations to determine how you experience your life.
Those same principles are woven into the heart of H.E.A.L Space.
Honor where you are.
Elevate your practice.
Allow yourself to be exactly as you are.
Love yourself enough to keep showing up.
It’s more than a philosophy. It’s an invitation.
To stop waiting until life becomes less complicated before taking care of yourself.
To stop believing healing has to happen one way.
To stop shrinking yourself to fit a model that was never designed with you in mind.
Because sometimes being “Built Different” isn’t about being different for the sake of standing out.
Sometimes it’s about recognizing what’s missing and having the courage to build it yourself.
